The Riverwoods: our ministry to children and their families

Our philosophy is to partner with you as you raise and disciple your children.  We see our role as coming alongside and equip you for the job God has called you to do. 

We do this by:

Practical Training:  Wednesday Night Parent Mentoring Groups are dedicated to equipping and training parents on how to train their children.

Biblical Teaching:  Our entire curriculum is Bible based and at times coinciding with the adult sermon series.  Parents are encouraged to interact with their kids about what they are being taught.

Godly Examples:  All of our adult teachers and helpers are background checked and trained so that kids see adults, other than their parents, who model what it means to walk a Christian lifestyle.

Tools: We offer take home sheets, a newsletter (Parentlink), seminars, and some fun events to add to your “parent toolbox.”

And any good partnership has two sides.  We hope you are:

Modeling: Kids are sponges as it relates to what they see and hear

Building Routines: Reading God’s Word, praying, and attending worship and events with them builds structure and healthy habits.

Humbly Learning:  We all have a lot to learn when it comes to parenting.  Wednesday Night Parent Mentoring Groups or a Life Group can be a great venue to continue your education in parenting.
